Where do I find Art?

Art can be found everyday because it is all around us waiting to be appreciated.

What am I looking for

You can look for beauty, uniqueness, feelings, texture, simplicity, complexity, and literally anything you want to see.

How do I know it is Art?

You will know it is Art because it can make you feel something different and something that you might not normally feel.

Is Art just everything? What isn’t Art?

Art is and can be everything that you want or anything that makes you think about something in a different persepective.

What is a Curator?

A Curator is someone who is in charge of or cleans art pieces in a Museum

Is a Curator different from an Artist?

Although they seem very different, they are very similar. They different because the artist creates the Art, but the Curators preserve the Art, so in their own way they are maintenance artist.

Has Social Media killed Loitering?

Social Media has killed Loitering because now a days people don’t just go outside and enjoy their surroundings. Most people just go out and take pictures to look cool rather than appreciating the backgrounds and scenery that makes them look cool.

What is a Flâneur?

A Flâneur is someone who walks around the streets and finds art in subtle places and appreciates it for what it is.

The Tree took was large, bright, highly textured, very dense and complex. The tree had beautiful rhythm and it was cool to see how large the tree was and how large the tree was as a canvas and how it made the background. It looked nice because the tree looked huge and it made me feel small and appreciative of nature. I found that this piece was trying to show how life is bigger and more powerful than we are. It was important to see this because it was some what of a reality check to realize that life is really out of our control and is a force to be reckoned with.

Was your Art, Art before you put a rectangle around it? Why or why not?

The pieces of Art were art before there was a rectangle placed around it because I believe that the world and everything around us is Art in its own way.

Will your Art be Art after the rectangle is gone? Why or why not?

Although people may not notice, or appreciate it as much, it will be Art, even after the rectangle is gone because it has rhythm, shape, color, and mass. This Art can affect people through out their lives, if they choose to realize its beauty.

Art can be something other than an object because it can be music, dance, poetry, feelings, words, and other inanimate objects that can not be seen, but only felt.

Does art reside in the experience of the viewer? So that it isn’t an object per se, but a way and a choice of taking the time to have a viewing experience? Explain.

Art resides in the experience of the viewer because anything can be Art depending on how it is viewed and appreciated by the person viewing it. Taking time to view something and analyze it in a new perspective is apart of understanding and appreciating an object as a piece of Art.
